Jennifer Farris, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at Texas Tech University and she volunteers as the vice president for student development (VPSD) for the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). In this Board of Trustees position, she serves the IIE student chapters and oversees the UCAR and Technical Paper Competition at the international level. Her research is in the areas of process improvement, engineering teams and healthcare operations. She primarily teaches courses in engineering management.
