SDSMT Students host very successful ’14 Student Conference in Rapid City, SD

I had the privilege of traveling to Rapid City, SD for the annual student regional conference, 3/6-3/8.  South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and the event chair, Terry Nyugen, put on a wonderful conference that had activities for everyone to enjoy and learn.  I particularly liked the Tractor competition, technical paper presentations, varied plant tours, interesting speakers and the awards banquet overlooking Mount Rushmore.  I had a great time with the planned events and also networking and just hanging out with the students and fellow professionals.  I think it was a very well-run event and kudos to the SDSMT students for setting the bar high as conference hosts!  Check out the Flickr account for more pics from the conference.
